Im working on HPLC-UV for analysis of 15 phenolic acids, Im now at
the begining and trying to test method if works or no on the column.
Gradient is consist of mix of A (2% asetic acid in water), B( 0,5%
asetic acid in 50/50 acetonitril/water) from A to B is getting down,
column is C18, (25cm; 4,6mm;5M)I tried gallic acid, protocatechuic
acid, p-OH benzoic acid, vanillic acid, and benzoic acid, They are
coming expected time but they all have two near peaks first of them is
tailed. Im trying something but until now they didnt work, Could you
give me some idea about this problem what can I do to solve it.
Thanks for everything, have a nice evening to you byeee

Would be nice to see the chromatogram. Maybe you can post your question
to this forum:

http://www.analyticalchem.com/

You can upload a chromatogram there, and I'm sure you will get some
help. If I had to guess from the info you have given, I would say maybe
a bad column or tubing connection with dead volume. Also you could be
injecting too high concentration although this usually results in peak
fronting.
