The technician for SEM told me that it is hard to obtain detailed
information for magnetic particles (such as Fe3O4) with realy small
size, say around 10 nm (sample has Au coating). Is it because of the
electronic field will interact with the magnetic particles and make it
hard to correct the astigmatism under really high magnification?

How about diluted magnetic semiconductor (DMS) nanoparticles? Do DMS
(such as ZnMnSe) behave similarly as magnetic nanoparticles (Fe3O4) in
the electronic field under SEM?
