A google search should be your source. Colleges and
universities put a lot of information online for students,
but it is available to everyone. Instrument companies also
have tutorials online, but they may be sales pitches.

Google is really your friend. A two word search: "HPLC wikipedia"
gives this:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HPLC

Pages of information and links.
