hpChemstation compatibility issue.

GPIB interface: 82350B

I'm using GC/MS 5971 / 5890 II
Smartcard I

Software loads after a long 1-2min pause. GC communication works
fine. Any attempt at MS communication gives error: "expected service
request was not recieved"

VISA assistant in IO tools shows all instrument addresses
appropriately. It seems that i've successfully set up this
configuration in the past...

Note: I use a patch to allow 5971 in msconfig.

Is the Smartcard I known to not communicate with this software
version? Any help is appreciated.

On the Agilent website there is a list of software compatabilies with
smartcard 1 and 2.
I think you may need satcard 2 to work with later versions of chemstation.

I may havea smartcard 2 if you wish.
