Discussion:
HP/Agilent ChemStation .ch file format?
(too old to reply)

We've got a rather large set of GC data (> 20000 analyses) that we'd like to
re-analyze with different response factors, peak identities, etc. Does
anyone have the actual file format for the GC Y vs pA data for the Agilent
(formerly HP) ChemStation .ch file?

I have found various utilities and proprietary programs that can supposedly
read these, but I'd really like to just get the 2D data out of them myself.
Your help is much appreciated.

I have a lot of code for reading HP ChemStation files, but all of the source
code anotations suggest that .ch is for LC data and .gc is for GC data. I'm
sure you know your data better than me, but this is definitely GC data and
not LC, correct? If you could provide one of the files, I can see if it
matches any of the formats in my collection.

Dave, do you have any information on the internal alignment of the .CH
and .UV files?

Thanks,
James
